Anthony Pooler currently resides in Central California, and maintains a studio in Modesto. He works primarily in watercolor and acrylics. His art education started at an early age, as his great grandfather, mother, and uncle were all artists. He is also an avid fly-fisher and fly-tier. This occasionally leads to conflicts about whether to fish a stream or to paint it.

His formal art education includes art instruction at UC Berkeley, and Cal State Hayward. Images include plein air work as well as paintings developed from photos from his extensive travels. Of special interest as subjects are landscapes of rural California and the Sierras. In addition, he enjoys painting pictures of vintage and classic automobiles. These are usually done as commissions, because car guys don't care about pictures of other people's vehicles.

Anthony is a member of the Central California Art Association and the Valley Sun-Catchers. His work can be seen frequently at the Mistlin Gallery and other regional venues.
